Qassim, September 16: Al Qassim University and Al Manhal signed an agreement for the deployment of Qassim University’s’ scientific and cultural content on Al Manhal’s platform. The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al Wasil, Representative of the University’s Graduate Studies and Research Center, and Al Manhal’s Content Development Manager, Mr. Mohammed A. Al Shafi, in the presence of Dr. Ibrahim bin Ali Lehaidan Dean of Studies and Advisory Services, and Dr. Joseph Alrjiei Dean of Libraries.
The agreement included the production and management of content issued by the university, which includes books, journals, scientific conferences and theses which are to be published on Al Manhal’s platform and will be made available to the university for free; a deal aimed at the expansion and the exchange of knowledge, as well as an opportunity to see the demands of a large number of researchers met. Additionally, the university’s content will benefit, support and assist to deploy more publications to universities across the world.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Wasil, Representative of Graduate Studies and Research at the university emphasized his keenness on the use of best-in-class technological techniques for electronic publishing, to assist students and researchers keep abreast of the latest scientific research and increase their abilities.
Dr. Ibrahim al-Luhaidan said the agreement will contribute to the dissemination of scientific content for books, journals theses, utilized by researchers in various countries around the world, which in addition will increase journal’s impact factors and receive global recognition and promotion of the university's position amongst scientific research community.
For his part, Dr. Yousef accept Alrjiei Dean of Library Affairs concluded that the agreement aims to facilitate openness, cultural and scientific exchanges between the institutions of scientific research and higher education and universities.
